Lymphoma can occur for a variety of known reasons such as the environment or predisposition due to genetics; however, it can also occur for unknown reasons. Lymphoma affects the lymphoid tissues of the body, most dogs the lymph nodes, the bone marrow or the spleen. If your veterinarian suspects that your dog may have lymphoma, he will likely run several diagnostics to determine the health of your stages. Common tests include blood work, a urinalysis, X-rays, abdominal radiographs or an ultrasound of the abdomen.
